The Weir Link- Artist Workshop Facilitator

Currently I am working with The Weir Link, a community centre based on the Weir Estate in east Balham SW12. The Weir Link provide a range of services for residents living on and around the Weir and Poynders Estates and Weir Road, focussing on families with young and school-aged children. 

As an artist facilitator I run an after-school arts & crafts club for young people aged 7-12, using my background in the arts as a vessel to educate and guide the students on how to express themselves artistically.  I created the entire lesson plan from September 2022 til end of term in July 2023. We cover a range of topics such as screen printing and marbling. I strengthen their skills through referencing an artist for them to use as the study such as black activist painter Alma Thomas and London born charcoal artist Leon Kossof .
